Today I was thankful for the rewind button!

My son was watching The Good Dinosaur when I heard in passing an unbelievable quote. It caused me to scramble for the remote and hit rewind.

“Sometimes you gotta’ get through your fear to see the beauty on the other side.”

Wow that’s pretty powerful!

Fear is a symptom of not allowing yourself to be YOU. Fear is the anticipation of the unknown. Unknown of the future. Unknown of your results. Fear is lack of knowledge in the universal laws. Fear is the barrier that will either make your run away…. or….. run through it (fight or flight).

Let’s face it…. we all have fears. We encounter them more than you’re consciously aware on a daily basis. These fears dictate our results in our lives.

But let’s look at it from a different point of view. If you never knew what fear felt like you would most likely describe it as a jolt of energy throughout your body. Your nervous system takes over. You may sweat. Your hands get clammy. It might be hard to breathe. The hair might stand up on the back of your neck. But what if you harnessed that jolt of energy? You could then take your fear and focus on seeing the other side and take that leap.

From that fear will you grow or run back into safety? Now that is the question you need to ask yourself every time you come up against your fear.

Do not allow your inner voice tell you that you can’t because it’s scary or “well the grass isn’t always greener on the other side”.

Fear should be WELCOMED! It’s a natural part of your personal growth.

Every time I am afraid, I know it is because I need to walk in that direction. That overwhelming feeling of fear is my mental check that I am no longer in a comfort zone. Stay out of that comfort zone.

You can make a choice from now on. You can either run from what frightens you or you can run towards it to finally see the beauty on the other side.
